The SW-RS801 Di2 Shifter by Shimano - For sprinting or mountain riding


The SW-RS801 are additional shifters, also called satellite shifters, for the Dura-Ace R9250 and the Ultegra R8150 Di2 road bike groupsets from Shimano. They come in two versions. SW-RS801-S is aimed at all those who want to shift while in the drops, e.g. during a sprint. The 1-button switch unit and clamp are mounted in the drops using adhesive tape, additionally fixed by the handlebar tape. SW-RS801-T is ideal for those who would like to shift gears while in the tops, for example on a strenuous uphill ride. The 1-button switch unit and clamp are mounted to the right and left of the stem using cable ties. Both models are supplied in pairs; SW-RS801-S comes with two 100 mm long EW-SD300 power cables, SW-RS801-T with two 260 mm long power cables. This connects the shifters to the regular STIs. The buttons are designed for shifting the 12-speed cassette up and down, i.e. for operating the rear derailleur. However, via the E-Tube platform, it is possible to reprogram them so that they can shift in front.
