The BT-DN300 Battery by Shimano - The power source for your Di2 shifting system
The BT-DN300 is a lithium-ion battery developed by Shimano for the Dura-Ace and Ultegra Di2 2x12-speed road groupsets. Like its predecessor, it is installed internally in the frame, typically in the seatpost. It has three connections and supplies power to all electronic components via the thin EW-SD300 power cable (not included): the rear derailleur, the front derailleur and, in a fully wired set-up, the two shift/brake levers. Unlike previous models, BT-DN300 does not have its own charging socket, but is charged via the rear derailleur. It is also not Bluetooth-enabled. The nominal voltage of the battery is 7.4 volts, the nominal capacity 500 mAh. A full charge takes up to 1.5 hours if the charging cable is connected to a power supply unit with a USB port, or up to 3 hours if it is connected to the USB port on a computer. Once charged, you can ride your shifters for approx. 1000 km. Blind plugs and small parts required for installation are included.
