The RD-R7100 from the Shimano 105 R7100 series is a mechanical 12-speed rear derailleur for road bikes. Thanks to its precise and smooth operation, you can enjoy reliable shifting performance on all your rides, without worrying about battery charge levels. RD-R7100 features the so-called Shadow design, i.e. it is flat to prevent damage and has a single tension construction, which increases efficiency. Due to the high aluminium content, it weighs only about 250 grams and thus a good 50 grams less than its electronic counterpart. The purist and high-quality look of the rear derailleur also fits very well on your road bike. The bearings of the guide pulley wheels contribute to the smooth shifting performance.

Shadow RD
Shadow rear derailleurs from Shimano have a very flat profile, allowing for a more aggressive riding style by minimising the risk of getting stuck on obstacles. In addition, the single preload ensures that the rear derailleur does not hit the chain stay even on very uneven ground. All of this contributes to a quiet, clean-operating gearshift.

OT-RS900
For Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, GRX and other 11-speed or 12-speed road and gravel rear derailleurs, Shimano has developed the special OT-RS900 cable housing. It is less stiff than the conventional OT-SP41 housing and is therefore better suited to the tight curve where the cable is routed from the frame to the rear derailleur. Thanks to OT-RS900, problems with the barrel adjuster can be prevented and the rear wheel can be removed more easily. OT-RS900 is not intended for use on the shift/brake lever side.
