Bicycle bottom brackets occasionally require removal for service, replacement, or upgrading. The Park Tool BBT-9 is used to remove and install select threaded bottom brackets with 16-notch tool fittings, including Shimano, SRAM GXP, Chris King, Campagnolo, and many others. This tool fitting is also found on some disc brake rotor lockrings.
Additionally, the BBT-9 includes a tool that removes and installation of 8-point Shimano Hollowtech II crank arm adjusting caps. The long, plated-steel handle offers good leverage for high-torque applications and is vinyl-dipped for comfort.
